Residents of Cardiff will soon have a new way to get involved in consultation and engagement about public services in the city.  www.askcardiff.com is a new website that will allow people to take part in consultation undertaken by a range of organisations, including Cardiff Council, South Wales Police, Health Services, the Voluntary Sector and the National Assembly.  Ask Cardiff  will also host a range of new and innovative ways of getting involved including:

  • e-discussion forums
  • e-petitions
  • Social networking links (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc.)
  • Ask Cardiff Wiki
  • advice and guidance on how best to plan and undertake effective consultation
  • on-line training

 

Easy Access to Facts and Stats

Having trouble accessing statistics and information about your local area? Looking to move house and want to find out more about your new neighbourhood? Preparing a grant application and need some facts and figures?  The new Wales Data Observatory will bring together a wealth of facts and figures from organisations across Wales. It will provide a quick and easy way to access facts and statistics including:

  • Population and demographics
  • Social characteristics
  • The economy
  • Health
  • Poverty and deprivation
  • Transport
  • The Environment
  • Crime and safety

The Wales Data Observatory is currently being developed by the National Assembly and will appear on www.askcardiff.com shortly.
